Plum Tree Sadness!

Yesterday...This morning
This morning...
Below
This afternoon the branch is broken!
This afternoon more broken branches!
There were others injured as well.
We had a lot of snow this morning!

School fun

Last night my daughter participated in a school talent night.
The first video is of my daughter and her friend and they pulled a couple of boys from the audience, gave them flowers and serenaded them.
The friend is back home after a year of living in a children's hospital fighting bone cancer. It was a successful fight and all of their friends are so happy to have her back.
My daughters boyfriend is there sitting scratching his head near the end.
The boys they serenaded were so embarrassed and even after it was all over they kept laughing and couldn't believe they had real flowers.
The second is of them trying a dance routine they made up a half hour before.
It was cute and they had fun.
Enjoy.

Spring Snow?

Not only was I surprised this morning to wake up to about four inches of snow,
but look at the duck ...he's all covered in snow!
He is still swimming around the pond with a pile of snow on his back...silly duck.
This is one of our blooming plum trees...see the hint of pink under all that white?

It's a Winter...No it's a SPRING Wonderland!!!!
One of the big snowflakes near the gate post is actually the duck.
It is still snowing....
Have a warm end of March Saturday!

Happy Thursday to you

Last Saturday, my nephew and his wife brought their boy down for a visit. While my niece was enjoying some alone time shopping at the mall, the rest of us went out to enjoy nature and as the little guy says, "huck some sticks" into the pond. Watch out for the stick Nate! You can see the little guys head and hand holding the stick.
My sister ordered a hat online and it arrived. It was made by Anna Shoub and you can see her etsy shop here.
As usual, my daughter and I liked the hat and now we want one too.

Bye for now...

H is for and I missed G...

Honk Honk!
These are the geese that were born here last summer.Scratch sees his chance to hunt the geese.
Pa goose is making his way out of the back yard and leading his family back to the pond.
Ooh...it's so easy to hunt those honkers from behind a fence isn't it Scratch?!!
Now back to March...
What's that we hear?
Honk! Honk! Honk!
Ma and Pa goose are back!
Fun will be had by all!

Bead heaven

I went to a bead festival today.
Thousands of beads everywhere I looked.
It was so much fun that...
I forgot to take pictures while I was there!

I LOVE beads...and stones...and gems!
They're so beautiful.

A visit to Mom

Here I am at the front door of my Mom's new home.
She was off at the doc getting her chemo so I had to wait.
Here she is, but she doesn't see me.
Now she sees me!
This is her room.
I took her favorite chair, lamp, picture and a tv to her.
We're making it more like home.
For those of you that know Violette, the land across from the harbor and over the water there is White Rock BC Canada as seen from my Mom's town.
Now I'm headed home to my town...land on the left, water on the right.
For ten years we lived a block from this spot.
I sort of miss it. :)
Better water pics next time!
