Office is open for business

Good day all!I've been working in my corner on crafty things...between customers and work.

well for the moment, then more work!
This time of the month is slow, so I can do this.
Next week...well, it gets crazy busy, so I have to get these done and sent!

Wednesday

Knee is only sprained and in a brace.
I'm gonna live!

A day in life...

Has anyone ever seen a form such as this one? It was bought by my husbands Aunt here while she was vacationing and it was the only one the store could get. We want more. It is child size and so darn cute. My knee still hurts. I think I may have sprained or strained it. I can walk but it hurts and occasionally I feel it wanting to twist again. I go to the doctor for one of those yearly woman visits tomorrow morning and I'll have him look at it too!

Hmmm

My name is Mahala and I have nothing to blog about, unless I offer a little whine with my Mocha.Today I have been weeding...then renting units and answering the phone...then pulling weeds...and so on. I don't mean to sound unhappy since I love this job, I just don't like pulling weeds and doing the office stuff at the same time. Sunday was going to be the day to pretty up the joint, then we had rain all day! The rain was wonderful for the weeds, they took off!

Today my lovely daughter is getting her self all prettied up, she's at the hairdressers right now, and she will be having her senior photos taken at a photographers studio...all fancy shmancy. She is a crazy girl over it! Talk about someone having high anxiety over something...man oh man she turned from sweety to scary! I tried to tell her that it is her day to shine and be pretty and get photographed and have fun. She told me to stop talking and go away!!!
I wish I could wave a magic wand and ease all her worries. I love the girl more than words can say. Maybe I'll make a magic wand...

I've tried calling my Mom at the home with no luck. I called the nurses desk and apparently her phone isn't working now, so I will be buying her a new one tonight. I don't like it when I can't get hold of her. Needing a new phone...

Well enough of this, I am off to pull another weed or two!

*6:30pm I fall down go boom! Pulling weeds. Loosening weeds with a shovel... Foot and shovel went one way, knee and body went another...extreme pain...me screaming...crying...knee pops back into place as my body hits the ground...more rolling and crying...I remembered that i had a phone in my pocket called my husband and he came out to save me. Oh goodness. I told you I don't like pulling weeds.
I'm still icing my knee at 8pm and it still hurts.

Eye Doctor

I've been getting headaches next to my right eye, so I'm off to the eye doctor this morning.
I can see you!

I am home and my eyes are still a bit blurry from the drops the evil doctor put in...just kidding he was a nice fella. He said that I need a stronger reading glass with some distance help which will arrive in about three weeks.
...hey they just phoned me to see how I am...nice eh?
My new glasses will be wine colored. When your eyes are so darn blurry that you can hardly see to choose a frame, who knows what you'll pick right?
I look forward to a little wine...even though I'm terribly allergic to grapes!

August has been busy

Logan...just look at the poor cat.
He has been so busy, he just can't seem to catch up on his sleep. He is so sleepy that he just has to lay on the computer key board as soon as he comes in the area. We humans just have to learn to work around the little fellas schedule.Deary here was going away with her Aunt and needed some freshening up. They are off on a fun adventure...without me. 'Tis life...

She chose a dark golden brown. It turned out nice, you can see it in the pic below.

We went to the fair and we only took two pictures! One picture we took was of DD with the turkeys and the other was of two ducks standing so straight and still. They seemed so scared. I felt for the sweet things, so I took a picture which probably didn't help how they felt...oh my.
It was hot and muggy and we ate fair food...good crap! Anyway, we had a nice time at the fair together.

I will write a bit more later about my days.
I just wanted to make an appearance here after so long away.

I painted

I am not a magnificent painter by no means and don't claim to be, I do however love to paint. My paintings are silly and just for fun. One day I will be magnificent! Well, a girl can dream can't she?
I saw something like this in a painting magazine once. I wish I could remember the name... anywho, I remember liking the little pointed bush, the white fence and so on, so here she is.

I love these little chunky 4x4 canvases. They are just the right size for paint play and for my little trailer. I bought a bunch of them when Treasury of Memories here had a buy one get one free sale. I should avoid those sales, I have too much fun.
I think next I'll try a bird in a nest or something like that.
