My ride has arrived for the ball

Here is my dress for the ball...the Bloglandia Ball.

J is for ...

JewelryThe necklace above now belongs to my hairdresser/friend.
I love to make jewelry as gifts
and sell it to people who like it.

Jewelry...that's what makes me smile.
I don't wear it much though!
I've been making some to sell at a Holiday Craft Sale in November...
my Mom signed me up for it :)
It will be a fun day.
Happy Crafting!

It's cold...

Boy is it ever cold here lately...
We've had rain and overcast skies and it's a bit on the nippy side. I actually have the heater on here in the office.
My family returns from the California funeral they were attending. They are in lower Washington as I type.
My sleep study...it showed that I do have sleep apnea. Now I have a second study on Friday night with the CPAP machine all night. they will decide the "flow" I will need to sleep with when I bring home my own machine. Won't my husband like that., however, I'm told it's not loud and well, he'll just have to suffer!
I'm gong to be doing a giveaway next month. I will post more about it later. It has to do with Breast Cancer awareness and a group of bloggers who are doing giveaways at the same time. All I know is that it , the giveaway, has to be pink in some way...fun!
Later gators!

The Nylons on Bellingham Bay

Tonight, with my son and some good friends, we went over to a park on the Bellingham Bay near Fairhaven and spent some time with The Nylons. We bought CD's and had them signed. The pic below is my friend Elizabeth with the group.
It was a very cold night seeing as it was outside on the water, but it didn't matter...such fun.

The gentleman in the white hat is a founding member from 1979. He had some moves...it was great. They were so kind and fun. I liked that.
Looking across the water at well, part of the waterfront. It's hard to see but the Whatcom Museum is the big red building/tower in front of the tall pink one.

H is for Health and Happiness

This was given to me and many others by Mrs. Nesbitt recently.
It came at a very important time. I found out that I do have sleep apnea and will have another sleep test for it, then I will get a machine, CPAP, to sleep with.
Then my husbands Uncle had his kidneys fail and the doctors discovered he had cancer in the pancreas, lungs and esophogus. He died yesterday morning at 7:30 am. my husband and daughter hopped in the car and headed for California and pulled in his Aunt and Uncles driveway at 8 am, just missing seeing him by half an hour.
Anyway, even though I don't feel too great today, my post is for health and happiness...
Be well everyone.

I cut some pieces from the lace I received and painted them with H20's. then I painted, papered, glued and made a box for Joan the seamstress. She did after all give me something wonderful.
I hope she likes the box. :)
This is a side view
This is where I started...

ideas...hmmm...nah...hmmm, however... not bad
I have ideas for more projects...even a head piece for the Glitter Sister Gathering...
I would LOVE and appreciate any suggestions on what else to make.
Bye for now. Tomorrow is ABC Wednesday's G post. fun.

Lace-a-licious

I was given this bag of lace from a woman who used to be a seamstress and worked on wedding dresses. She was going to throw this out...instead, she gave it to me.
I'm excited to have so much lace and material with beads and sequins!
