Thursday thoughts

We went to Oregon a week ago. We were looking at an area we are planning to move to in September.
This view is from our train ride home somewhere in Washington.

We ate in a restaurant in Oregon and all of the tables had pictures, newspaper articles, well you name it and was there on the table under layers of shellac or a sealant of some sort.
I found some old music books and one had this song...Meditation.
My husband woke up yesterday covered in this rash so we went to the hospital and when I say covered...it's head to toe. Today he has a blister under his eyelid.
A medication side effect, not allergic reaction, but a side effect.
It's called Stevens Johnson Syndrome.
I was told that when his skin starts to peel off, to get him back to the hospital.

Oh and when we came home from Oregon on the train the first train was late and broke down, so we were sent by bus to Portland. We were almost there and the bus driver calls out,"Does anyone know the address of Portland's Union Station?"
Neither of the bus drivers knew how to get there. Imagine a bus full of frustrated people calling people who are waiting for them and saying, "You're never gonna believe this one!"
We finally made it...a bit late, but we got there.
Then on the connecting train to home, I just happened to start to video something and this message came across...
click the video to hear.

Ugh. I hope your husband feels better soon. Your travel adventures just make me kind of want to stay put.

OH my - such a train/bus ride - I hear it isn't all that uncommon any more.

Those blisters can be very, very dangerous - hope all goes well and he doesn't have to go back to the hospital. Take care!!!!

I am so sorry your husband has to go through that and that there is a relief for it very soon!! I've never heard of that syndrome....you all deal with so much!
What an ordeal on your train ride....how can there be bus drivers that don't know where they're going? I'm just glad you made it home safe and sound!
XOXOXOXOXO
