Happy Fourth of July

My shoes

I love my Bertula's. They are so comfortable and my bone spurred plantar fasciitis needs comfort.
Today I received a package from my Dads cousin. They wrote to each other all these years and I'd never met her, but now we are corresponding. She's telling me about my family on that side...something my Dad never did. His Mom died when he was about nine and he didn't have the best childhood...he missed her I think.
Anyway, I was sent photos and family info with a nice long letter. Tomorrow I will write to Lila and tell her about my end of the family.
It made me cry. I feel better then something reminds me of my Dad and I cry.
To my sister Cheryl...should I make a shrine? Just a little Altoids tin one? I might just do it. Me and my Dad...I miss him.

Baby got stuck

Mom and baby made it into storage area. Mom jumped the fence, then baby jumped it and off they went.

Kits were out late

These guys were out enjoying the full moon, so my daughter and I joined them. It was around 11pm and so quiet...creepy too. You have to watch yer back around here. Never know when the racoons are going show up. the bull frogs were darned loud...as always.
We were getting moon-tuned.

Some art

I actually made something. This is part of a favorite song of mine...Saturdays by Holly Brook. I think it's a pretty song.
The colors are much brighter over here...still learning the cameras moods.
I made another and sent it over to Nicci for her art words challenge. I'll post it when the 30th rolls around.

Green and alive with babies!

Things are green around here and the grasses are tall. Ma and Pa goose got themselves and their youngun's stuck in the yard and couldn't get themselves back to the pond. They went back and forth turning around just before getting to the small gate! We opened the back gate and they seemed pleased to be back out.

In the center of the picture on the bottom is a sweet little fawn. It is so small it can barely be seen. Mom was off to the left watching me. They were on the other side of the fence, but they come into the yard sometimes too...I think that they can stay on that side!
A young buck showed up yesterday. He has white spots and fuzzy antlers. I will ask him for a photo shoot.
