Forgot the pie

We had a caramel apple pie served to us as well at our Sunday barbque.
Katie insisted that I report that.
Yumm.

I sure don't like pictures of myself, but here we are. I definitely have my dads face and nose. Then again, I look like my mom and grandma on both sides. Thank goodness the kids take after their dads family with the body shape!
I HAVE to lose weight or at least lose enough to feel better. My dad died from congestive heart failure and it is possible for me to have it since he did. He was always after me to shape up. I just thought he was mean, but I think he was worried. He never told me about the congestive heart failure all the years he had it. I only found out a short time before he died. I took him to the heart doctor and he fell and broke a rib outside the door, then we went to the emergency room where the told me he'd had a stroke at some point. He got pneumonia and never really recovered, so a visit to the hospital was next on the list and while there, the hospital doc gave him hours to live. Well, a week later, I moved in with him. Hospice came and helped out, then a little over a month later, he passed on.
It wasn't until he was in the hospital that I found out about the CHF. He didn't want to worry us, so he never told us. He left here in July of 2006...
Well, before I start feeling bad, I'll move on to the next photo.

Friends and Family time

On Sunday we went to our friends home for a barbque.
I say friends, however, they are more like family.

This is my daughter with Steve. He has been our friend , well since high school days...a long time ago. He's actually my best friend. When he and Maria were married, I was his best man...or woman...anyway, he is family. I don't have a close up of his wife, but shes in the next picture in blue...well her head is anyway. :) Oh and his kid is with the long hair. Marias best friend and our friend, she's in the pic as well.

I've been playing around with polymer clay again. I made a few of these ladies, but I broke one.
I think next time I won't roll the cane so many times. i used about eight colors, but with rolling it so many times, you ccan't see them all. Oh well, lesson learned.here she is from behind. Her tails a bit big at the end...another of those lessons.

Friday warmth

It's warm enough to sweat around here today, no bright sun, but that's fine since it's still a beautiful day.I made a birds nest charm. I see them around blogland and had to make one, then two, then three...

My lumpalicious buddy Logan is enjoying the day. Gotta love the rocks. He rolls and rolls and does his shedding on the rocks! It's great.This is pretty miss Crazy Cat. She's all that and a bowl of nuts. She's sweet when she's not getting spooked and flying across you scratching her way out of the place!

I like this flower. Don't know what it is, but I like it. It's a plant I inherited from my Mom's place.

I've had a headache and sore face on the left side with my gums not feeling good. Last night I laid in bed and was starting to feel better and rolled over , then BOOM! I pulled my bedside lamp off onto my left eyebrow. Now it is a bit puffy and hurts still this afternoon.
Did I ever mention that I'm a klutz? well, I am!
Oh and a few posts back I mentioned a man, Tom Hunter, and that he had CJD? Well, he lost his battle with the illness this morning around 3:30am and passed on. He will be missed by many.
Enjoy life and all it brings your way.

This is Craftyhala's daughter, Katie. I wanted to do something to make my mom smile, so here it is:

My Mommy is such a caring, loving individual. I’ve never ever wanted anybody else as my mom. She means everything to me, and I keep her judgment with me at all times. Whenever she feels upset, or sick; I want to make her feel happy again! Or at least dance a little bit here and then.

She is fantastic, and always knows how to cheer us all up. I love her, no matter what!

Wednesday's doings

I crawled out of bed this morning, got cleaned up and headed over to Woods. It's a coffee place, like Starbucks, but a little more comfortable to me. I met a friend there for coffee. and it was great to see her. She's easy to talk to and is very understanding of the aches and pains my body has! She suggested we make it a regular once a month happening and I said we should make it every two weeks if not more! I enjoyed it.
She had noticed that I wasn't doing crafty things and posting them here. So she figured I needed some perking up and she was right.

I came home, opened up the office and pulled weeds and used the weed eater a bit. It made my neck hurt SO BAD! So I am taking a break and my son is out spraying weed killer on the weeds. I don't like using it, but this is a business and the owners want the weeds gone, so I will do as they say, but i won't spray it in the back where the pond and critters are.
Now to something more fun...some art...
So here is something I worked on last night. I don't draw and it's rare for me to draw something that I approve of. i liked this lady and I love coffee. Well there ya go. I have a lot to do to this but it's a beginning.

Her arm and legs don't fit, but that's okay. By the time I'm done it won't matter.

I really want to get back to my jewelry making. I miss it.
I bought some craft porcelain and want to make flowers and what not for charms and...well, we'll see how it works out.
