Okay, so, I went to the doctor to find out why I'm so tired and all that good stuff and he gives me something more for sadness and blood tests.
The tests get back and the on call doctor sees my platelet count and calls my oncology/hematology and leaves the message that my count is critically low and I need to be seen ASAP.
The next morning I get the same message.
Well, today I went to the o/h doctor and he has a huge grin because my "critically low" platelet count was only at 61,000 down from my last test of 68,000.
For someone with ITP they don't treat until you get down to 20,000, unless you're having neck surgery, then they pump you with some platelets which lasts about two weeks.
He was also my moms oncologist and said that yes, I am tired and worn out from the low counts, but he feels that I am still grieving for my mom and that is adding to it.
So...
I just wanna sleep.
I want to put on a beautiful gown and wings just like the lady in the picture and take a nap somewhere beautiful.
Well, my bed will work too.
Take care of yourself and have a sense of humor!
Laugh and you'll feel better!
I know I am.
