I sewed and...

Found a house shelf at the thrift store, so I bought it. I like the shape...anyway a little mod podge and paper and voila another thing to take up room on a shelf!

I love this material. The flowers flocked or raised velvet. I'm new to the material scene.

The thread I have is years and years old, so I guess I will go buy new thread today to finish the other curtains.

It's quick and then I can get my surgery!
Wait a minute, the Prednisone was supposed to be quick and that was three weeks ago...
Well, here we go again!

A new world

I used a sewing machine last night for the first time in probably seven or eight years.
I am excited.

Happy and sad

I am very pleased to have Obama as our next President and so many are not.
If McCain had won, I would have been disappointed, but happy for him and cautiously optimistic for our country.

I have heard and seen comments by McCain supporters that are unbelievably hateful and just wrong.
Why do they have to say they are "disgusted" and that"we are screwed"?
I wish that they could love this country and all it's people and be happy for us all that there are no losers.
We are the United States of America and we are all winners in a wonderful country that now has a chance at a change for all.
I believe that of the two, Obama has more chance at gaining back respect for us, US Americans, from other countries.
Today is a good day and we are in for more good days, you'll see.
Don't forget it might feel worse before it's better, it would have been that way with either person, thanks to our current President.
Well, enough of that.

Today we Americans have witnessed a historic moment.

We have a new President.

I am proud to be an American.

I am happy.

Er er er er!

There's a rooster in my head that won't let me sleep, so here I sit at the computer.
Thanks for all the loving wishes for my woes with doctors, health and surgery. It will all work out, just not as fast as I'd hoped.
Yesterday we moved furniture around to make me happy and it worked!
I also spent all day organizing crap...I mean craft supplies so I can get serious about it.
Ooh, coffee's done...have a wonderful Monday!
