Today...a good day. We have had a couple of geese living on our island and recently we have only seen one. My son paddled out and found one on a nest. He phoned to say she had died. My husband and I were devastated. We started planning a small funeral for it and were sad for the one we see. Well, he returned and let us know that he was wrong...she was alive, just holding very still on top of her nest. AARGHH! I wish he had phoned back to let us know so we wouldn't have mourned the goose for so long. I was surprised how much it hurt to lose one of them. Now this morning I wonder if it's Momma or Poppa goose I'm looking at. Whichever, I'm pleased to see him or her!
My kids go to the dentist today... My daughter wants braces...easy? No...the orthodontist says her jaw is disintegrating and she needs surgery. Now we will see what the dentist says and then the doc later this week.
I've had a terrible cold all week. I feel a bit better today, though my ears are ringing and the right one has gone a bit deaf.
I made a number of ATC's for a swap group I found here in my town that meets once a month and I missed it because of fever! I was so bummed out. I will make it there next month...right?
I was doing a search on Myspace for fun and I found my big brother and his band on there. Some day I'll travel into Canada and catch one of his shows. It's a blues band...they're darn good too.
Anyway, lots to do today...
