Survivor night! Woo hoo... I love to watch Survivor, it's something my Mom and I both enjoy.
Today and tomorrow are my Moms birthdays. So I just called Mom and wished her a Happy Birthday. Tomorrow I'll visit for another birthday wish. Mom was born in 1929 and the doctor rode out to her house in Oklahoma on his horse, drunker than a skunk, delivered her and went back wrote up that she was born on April 27, yet my Grandmother insisted till the day she died at age 82 (thirty years ago), that mom was born on the 26th. The doctor also wrote that Mom was a boy...allowing for my Mom to be drafted years later...tee hee. Grandma had 11 kids and she was pretty reliable.
My Grandma was born under a covered wagon in 1894 on the way to Oklahoma from Kansas. She was quite a lady...she taught me to play poker when I was four years old. She was the best.
We lived on a farm with her and Grampa's house in between our house and my Aunt Rose's house. Grampa was a farmer of cattle, chickens, corn, hay, worms for the fisherman, parakeets too. Those were fun days. I actually plucked chickens when I was small.
Anyway, this post has gone all over the place. Maybe I'll write a bit more tomorrow about my family.
Must feed the family...

Happy belated Birthday , Mahala !
Hope your day was special.
The story about your mother's birth was funny , I'm sure your Grandmother was correct , how could she forget a birth like that.
Love and Hugs, JoyceAnn
